Martin Weaver Independent Kitchen & Interior Designer

Frequently asked questions

  • Why do you charge for kitchen design?

I charge for my design time so that I only spend time  working with clients who appreciate my experience and expertise.

I am happy to refund any designs costs against the cost of your kitchen, when you place your order.

  • How much do you charge?

As every kitchenand client is different, I charge by the hour.

The average kitchen design with one or two revisions will cost about £200 plus vat

However, after our initial consultation, I am happy to give an estimate of the likely  design cost based on the size of your project.

  • Do you provide installation advice?

I will always provide plans and elevations for your fitters to work from, and with 30 years hands on experience, I'm more than happy to advise your fitters over the phone

  • Who makes the kitchens?

Nearly all of my kitchens are made in Bristol to the highest standard by a family firm that only supplies to the trade.

I have used this company for about 20 years and no one else comes close to their quality and service

  • How quickly will you be able to deliver my new kitchen?

As every kitchen is made to order, the lead time is generally 4 - 6  weeks from the time you place your order.

  • Are you expensive?

How long is a piece of string?

I keep my overheads low by utilising the factory's showroom, and this allows me to offer at least a 15% discount off of the factory list price.

My prices will very often be close to or even match Howdens and Magnet, whilst the quality and service will far exceed them.

  • Do you offer a home measurement service?

Yes - within 30 miles of Tetbury - I would usually incorporate this into my free initial consultation.

Alternatively, if you are more remote, I am happy to work from  plans or sketches., and liaise via email or phone.

  • Who can I speak to once my order has been placed?

Me, I'm available 9 -5, Monday to Friday to answer any queries or questions you may have about your order.

  • Can I change my order?

As every kitchen is a bespoke order, changes will be at the discretion of the factory and depending on what stage the order is at, changes may be chargeable.

Any changes may also affect the delivery date.

It is better to get everything right before you order than try and change anything later.

  • Do you offer a guarantee on your kitchens?
